On first run the application detects that setup hasn't been completed and presents the first-run setup wizard — a full-screen, step-by-step sequence that configures the deployment. As you answer each step, the system records your choices (in the PlatformSettings store) and, at the end, configures itself: what's enabled, what isn't, and how things behave. The wizard can also bulk-import a catalogue and let you pick a starting website template. Progress is persisted, so the wizard is resumable if you leave partway. Once you finish, setup is marked complete and the application boots into the normal admin/storefront experience.
